The Chesa-Poo is a hybrid dog, also known as a designer dog. The Chesa-Poo is a cross between the Chesapeake Bay Retriever and the Poodle. It is not always possible to determine the characteristics, temperament or traits of a mixed breed. You will likely find the Chesa-Poo has a combination of the characteristics found in both the Chesapeake Bay Retriever and the Poodle.

I realize it was an old post. I am looking for a Chesa-Poo or Chessi Doodle, I believe the names are interchangeable. I absolutely love the Chessapeke Bay Retriever and believe the mix of the breed with a poodle would be a no brainer.
We are interested in a Chesa-Poo as our Chesapeake is now 10 years and starting to slow down. We have raised Chesapeake retrievers for over 20 years and just getting tired of the shedding plus I have a health issue which now makes the mix a better choice.
