Pom-A-Nauze

The Pom-A-Nauze is a hybrid dog, also known as a designer dog. The Pom-A-Nauze is a cross between the Miniature Schnauzer and the Pomeranian. It is not always possible to determine the characteristics, temperament or traits of a mixed breed. You will likely find the Pom-A-Nauze has a combination of the characteristics found in both the Miniature Schnauzer and the Pomeranian.

I have two Pom a Nauze female puppies from the same litter. I was told the parents are neither over 10lbs however at 3 months old, my two are barely 2 1/2 lbs. Just wondering about how big they will get. I am new to this breed.
Females from most breed of animals are usually smaller. I have a male and he is no more than 8 pds. He resembles a small coyote, he is very agile, smart and likes to test me like a child. Your puppies will turn out to be small dogs. That is my instinct from the information provided. If the parent/parents are minature you are going to have them small as puppies, and small as dogs that are going to be fun and keeping you very busy.
Thanks for the info. I forgot the website I left this on!! They are now 2 years old. One is 8 lbs and the other is 11.
I had a Pom-a-Nauze (we’re sure that by coloration she was schnauzer) and ended up 25+ lbs, and her one brother was closer to 30lbs. My guess is that the pups’ size will be determined by how large both parents are (you can get an estimate in size between comparing the 2 I would say).
My girl had the tenacity and cunning of a terrier, and high energy levels from puppy to 8 yrs old -it wasn’t until then she calmed down. Her overall health was great, with only allergies to fleas, and a yeast infection of the skin only a couple of times. She became unexpectedly ill just a month shy of her 14th birthday, and had to be put to sleep -the guess from the vet was a tumor ruptured. Knowing the parents health history should help you keep an eye out for any signs!
Thanks Melissa for the info.. One is black and looks just like a schnauzer weighing 8lbs. The sister is tricolor and (just like a yorkie) and weighs 11 bls with pom’s hair type. They are my babies!!!
I have an 8year old pom-a-nauze she has a wonderful temperament I would like another and have not been able to locate a breeder anyone know where I might find a breeder?
Hello Marianne. My name is Suzanne. I have a sweet 2yr old girl that has Schnauzer. She looks just like Benji, if you’re familiar? My daughter has a very sweet pomeranian that I am contemplating on having my girl breed with. I was searching what the puppies might look like and came across your post. I realize this is from roughly 8yrs ago. However, I have never sold puppies before! Honestly my husband is terrified that we will keep them all!! I can’t imagine my life without my fur babies and I know I am not alone. If we breed her, would you still be interested? If so, would like to talk with you more.
My Bonnie is 11 years old & healthy except for skin allergies in the summer. She’s the product of a mini schnauzer mom & Pom father, but was not bred on purpose. I didn’t know this was a new designer breed & thought mine was just a good mix of mutt. It is a wonderful combo. She’s smart as a whip, trying as a 3 yr old and definitely has the terrier & Pom attitude with a mind of her own. Happy to know there’s others out there and the combination has been discovered and appreciated! Mine is something else!!!
My Pomeranian schnauzer is 18 1/2 years old and still gets along pretty good for his age
