Alusky

The Alusky is a hybrid dog, also known as a designer dog. The Alusky is a cross between the Alaskan Malamute and the Siberian Husky. It is not always possible to determine the characteristics, temperament or traits of a mixed breed. You will likely find the Alusky has a combination of the characteristics found in both the Alaskan Malamute and the Siberian Husky.

Gary writes, “I recently bought 2x Alusky bitch puppies, now 5 months old. We live in Cape Town, South Africa. They are 50/50 Siberian/Malamute hybrid bitches. Boy oh boy what a hand full but we love them. Luckily we were prepared because I owed a pure bred Siberian Husky before. They train well and are now fully ‘house broken’ and are inside the house 30% of the time.

Still trying to teach them to stop digging craters around the house. Need to give them more toys I think. Some extra exercise should also help them expend all that energy. They beautiful, healthy and happy dogs. They have certain characteristics of the Siberian and the Malamute, which is clear. The best and worst of both breeds.”
