The Lhasalier is a hybrid dog, also known as a designer dog. The Lhasalier is a cross between the Cavalier King Charles and the Lhasa Apso. It is not always possible to determine the characteristics, temperament or traits of a mixed breed. You will likely find the Lhasalier has a combination of the characteristics found in both the Cavalier King Charles and the Lhasa Apso.

This is Pinot, a Lhasalier. Our reader Lori writes to us, “She is second generation and a little over 2 yrs old now. Contrary to what I’ve read online, she does shed!! She is approximately 14 lbs and possesses the look of a cavalier, more so than a lhasa apso. She is quite the diva. I saw a photo and profile online of a woman who has a 40 lb lhasalier. She must have been misinformed because lhasaliers generally do not grow over 20 lbs and don’t look much like her dog.”
