Silky-Pin

The Silky-Pin is a hybrid dog, also known as a designer dog. The Silky-Pin is a cross between the Miniature Pinscher and the Silky Terrier. It is not always possible to determine the characteristics, temperament or traits of a mixed breed. You will likely find the Silky-Pin has a combination of the characteristics found in both the Miniature Pinscher and the Silky Terrier.

Silky-Pin Pictures

Our reader Heather writes, “I have a min-pin/silky terrier mix (female) named Marley. Both of her parents are purebred. I have been actually looking for a while to see pictures of other dogs like her. Her dad is a yippy, small black min pin and her mom is a well-behaved tan and black silky. She is VERY well behaved. She was never really hyper and the only activity that she really likes is to play fetch. She had never barked until I introduced her to my parents dog when I moved. Now she likes to bark when someone is at the door, but is quiet other than that. She is the best dog that I have ever had. I had typical puppy problems with her (chewing and housebreaking) but other than that I she is perfect. I would love to get another silky-pin some day…but I guess they are hard to come by. Her mom’s owner was mad that her silky dog was pregnant with min-pin pups because she normally sells her purebred silky pups for $1800 and she didn’t make much money at all off of Marley and her brothers and sisters. Anyway, here are a few pics of her and our new silky purebred puppy, melia.”
