Cava-lon
The Cava-lon is a hybrid dog, also known as a designer dog. The Cava-lon is a cross between the Cavalier King Charles and the Papillon. It is not always possible to determine the characteristics, temperament or traits of a mixed breed. You will likely find the Cava-lon has a combination of the characteristics found in both the Cavalier King Charles and the Papillon.

Mickey is a Cava-lon hybrid dog
Cute pup! We just adopted a dog, Kingston (maybe 18 months old) from an animal shelter and believe he is also a Cavalon. He looks like Mickey but has darker brown/black coloring, whispier ears and little spots on his nose and front legs, like the Springer Spaniel. He is very naughty, has no personal boundaries and loves to chew up everything !He is super smart, extremely affectionate and has endless energy. We were going to enroll him in a Puppy Preschool/Obedience classes and maybe Agility classes later. We had a hyper/naughty Pomeranian (Phoenix) but we got her at 8 weeks and we know nothing about King’s first year of life. We would really appreciate any type of training and/or calming advice and wondered if you had tried the “Thunder shirt”? We thought it might help with King’s digging and toe nibbling too. we have a dog that is five years old. We were told that she was a purebred Papillon but she has always been different. Just saw a picture of Mickey and she looks a lot like him. Maybe she is a Cavalon.
We just bread a cav to. a pap….Cave-lon.. We found them to be very smart and full of fun. We did keep one of the off spring and he is turley a family pup. The mother had 5 but we had over 25 calls from people who wanted an off spring for their own. We had no trouble with house breaking and all 5 were pretty well on their way at 9 weeks. We feel very lucky to have this breed in our home. One thing we are finding out now that the young one does not bark only when he is playing and something is wrong. We hope this breed will catch on as they will give out love and much happiness, plus being smart and a nice size in the toy group or small group.
